Lucy May & Bay Bronze Challenge

The Lucy May & Bay Bronze Challenge took place at Poverty Bay Golf Club last week.

This event sees teams of 12 Ladies play in the Lucy May handicaps up to 22.4 and the Bay Bronze team consisting of players with handicaps of 22.5 – 34.4 taking on Tairawhiti Golfs Women in the same divisions.

This year saw home course advantage come to the fore with Tairawhiti being too good in both divisons winning both the Lucy May & Bay Bronze for 2025. Tairawhiti won the Lucy May 11-7 and the Bay Bronze 10-8.

It was fantistic that there were 7 ladies playing for the first time this year. It was also great to present badges to Wiki Blythe & Jo Edge who have represented Hawkes Bay 4 times.
